Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace Now Offering Partners Seamless Navigation Between Commerce and Operations Through Microsoft Online Management Extension
Launch of Microsoft Online Management Extension enables managed service providers to expand their value-added services portfolio and streamline customer management
IRVINE, Calif. – September 22, 2022 –Ingram Micro Cloud, operator of one of the world’s largest cloud marketplaces for the channel, announced the worldwide integration of Microsoft Online Management Extension (MOME) on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace powered by CloudBlue technology. Using CloudBlue Commerce, this capability provides an automated management solution that enables Microsoft partners to both sell and manage services in a single location.
MOME utilizes data from Microsoft Customer AAD Tenants to provide new customer management, domain management, and security score services that benefit managed service providers (MSPs) in the following ways, among others:
- Customer Management: Now, MOME brings Microsoft Partner Center functionality into the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, allowing resellers direct access to customer accounts.
- Domain Management: MOME offers automated domain registration and management features designed to eliminate the labor-intensive, error-prone process of manually connecting and registering client domains.
- Secure Score: MOME delivers the ability to assess the Secure Scores, assigned by Microsoft to the customer accounts, by verifying the customer’s adherence to the Microsoft Security Best Practices. Using MOME to improve Microsoft Secure Scores can help prevent fraudulent use of services by malicious entities.
“The MOME integration is a continuation of a long-term Ingram Micro Cloud strategy to help our partners grow faster and be more profitable. Working closely with Microsoft, and actively listening to our channel partners, this Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace enhancement delivers the most efficient cross-platform process and ‘single pane of glass’ workflow,” share John Dusett, executive director of Cloud Services, US. “We’re excited to share more direct management paths for our Microsoft partners as we continue adding capabilities and services our partners can leverage to grow faster.”
“Automated management solution takes on an entirely new meaning with the introduction of the Microsoft Online Management Extension (MOME) integration within the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace,” said David Smith, vice president worlwide channel sales, Microsoft Corp. “Our organizations have a long history of working together, learning from one another and prioritizing the needs of customers with improvements and teamwork along the way. We are thrilled to see the increased capabilities for our Microsoft partners at Ingram Micro Cloud and look forward to seeing the positive impact that follows.”
For data usage, customers remain in full control through MOME’s standalone customer consent mechanism, which allows users to choose what they share with Partners, while also utilizing Microsoft's Delegated Administrative Privileges to control, restrict or revoke partner access.
